I was looking through the body of work and characters of Johnny Depp and it occurred to me that he is a fantastic actor that completes a role. His portrayals are finely executed, well thought out and you get the sense that he is this role even though it is completely different from the last role.
This brings me to the reason for my post here. Who would like to see a new portrayal of Winston Smith of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, one seemingly insignificant man, a civil servant, a pawn in the evil regime? I know that Johnny Depp could bring this role to life, make it unforgettable and remind us all to fight for what we know is right in our heart and soul even if in the end it breaks us.
If you agree with me reply here, tell your friends and make us heard. I think we can all relate to Orwell's story in one way or another and Johnny Depp can bring this story to a new generation that can use the lessons it teaches.
